Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart full of hope, seeking Your divine grace in my journey towards healing from addiction. I acknowledge that I have stumbled and lost my way, but I know that Your love is infinitely greater than my struggles. Your word says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” O Lord, it is in my weakness that I now come to You, yearning for Your strength.
Loving Father, I am tired and weary of the chains that bind me. My body and my soul ache from the battles I have fought, yet I know that You are a God who heals. Psalm 147:3 reassures me that “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Lord, I surrender my brokenness to You; mend the parts of me that are shattered and heal my wounds, both seen and unseen.
Jesus, You walked among us, understanding our pains and carrying our sorrows. Thank You for Your empathy and compassion. Help me to remember that I am never alone, that You are with me in every step of this journey. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Wrap me in Your grace, so that I may find solace in my heart and clarity in my mind.
Lord, cleanse me from the guilt and shame that cling to me because of my addiction. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” I ask for Your forgiveness and, more importantly, for the strength to forgive myself. Help me to see myself through Your eyes, as a precious child worthy of love and redemption.
God, surround me with a community of support, people who reflect Your love and understanding. Grant me the humility to reach out for help and the resilience to stay the course. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Let this truth be my anchor when the waves of temptation and doubt try to overwhelm me.
Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, letting Your peace, love, and joy overflow in my life. Transform my heart and renew my mind, so that I may find new purpose and meaning beyond this addiction. “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). Guide my steps toward a future that is brimming with hope and free from the shadows of my past.
I place my trust in You, knowing that even in the darkest moments, Your light shines ever bright. Thank You for hearing my prayer, for lifting me up, and for walking this path of recovery with me. I am grateful, Lord, for Your unending grace and love.
In Your holy name, I pray. Amen.
