Invocation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, humbled and seeking Your divine presence. My heart is heavy and weary, burdened by the struggles and challenges that addiction has brought into my life. I am in desperate need of Your grace and strength. I ask that You surround me with Your infinite love and fill me with Your peace.
Prayer:
Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust (Psalm 91:2). In this moment of vulnerability, I lay my heart bare before You. The chains of addiction have caused so much pain and suffering, not only in my own life but also in the lives of those I love. The grip of this affliction feels overwhelming, and at times, I am consumed by despair.
But Father, I know that You are the Healer of all wounds and the Restorer of the broken. Your Word tells me, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). I cling to this promise, for I am worn out and yearn for the rest that only You can provide. Please grant me the strength to withstand the cravings and the wisdom to make choices that honor You.
Lord, renew my mind and spirit (Romans 12:2). Wash away the guilt, shame, and self-loathing that have taken root in my heart. Help me to see myself as You see me—a beloved child, worthy of love and redemption. Replace my pain with Your joy, and my turmoil with Your tranquility.
Father, guide me in seeking the right support and in opening my heart to those who can walk with me through this journey. Surround me with Your angels, both seen and unseen, who will uplift me and keep me accountable. Let Your Holy Spirit empower me with a resilience that transcends human understanding (Philippians 4:13).
In my darkest moments, when temptation feels the strongest, be my Light and my Salvation (Psalm 27:1). Remind me that Your love is stronger than any addiction, and Your power greater than any struggle. Fill the void within me with Your Holy Spirit. May Your presence satisfy the deepest longings of my soul, where earthly things have left me empty.
Gratitude:
Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer, for I know that You are always near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). I am grateful for Your unwavering love and for the new mercies You offer each day. Thank You for the hope and assurance that, through Your strength, I can find freedom and solace.
With a grateful heart, I surrender to You, trusting in Your perfect plan for my recovery. Thank You, Lord, for being my constant source of strength and for loving me unconditionally.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
