Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, humbled and seeking Your divine strength. Lord, You are my refuge and fortress, my God, in whom I trust (Psalm 91:2). You know the depths of my struggles, the whispers of my soul, and the pain that has gripped my heart. Today, I cry out to You for Your healing touch, for I desire to embark on a journey to wholeness, freed from the chains of addiction.
Father, You understand the battles I face – both seen and unseen. The moments of weakness, the temptations that seem insurmountable, and the guilt that weighs heavily on my spirit. But Your Word reassures me that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). I believe in Your promise, Lord. I believe that You can mend what is broken and restore what has been lost.
Give me the courage, Lord, to face each day with hope. Help me to find strength in Your presence and wisdom in Your Word. As Philippians 4:13 reminds me, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Empower me with Your love and grace, that I might resist the allure of substances that seek to steal my joy and my life.
Lord, I ask for Your healing not just for my body, but for my heart and mind as well. Wash over me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Heal the wounds of my past, the fears of my present, and the worries of my future. Let Your Holy Spirit guide me, guarding my thoughts and renewing my spirit each day.
I lift up to You those who walk this path with me – my family, friends, and support system. May their love be a reflection of Your everlasting love. Strengthen them as they stand by my side, offering encouragement and support. Grant them patience and grace, and bless them abundantly for their unwavering faith in my recovery.
Father, I thank You for the moments of progress, for the steps taken towards freedom. I am grateful for Your constant presence, holding me when I feel like falling. With each sunrise, remind me of Your mercy and the fresh start that You grant.
As I continue this journey, may I always keep my eyes fixed on You, the Author and Perfecter of my faith (Hebrews 12:2). Fill my heart with hope and my soul with song, that I may rejoice in the miracles You perform daily in my life.
In Your holy and powerful name, I pray.
