Rooted in Grace: A Prayer for God’s Guidance in Church Planting

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your guidance as we embark on the journey of planting a new church. I acknowledge that it’s not by our strength but by Your Spirit that we can accomplish this precious work. Your Word reminds us in Zechariah 4:6, “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” and Lord, we rely completely on You.

Thank You for the incredible opportunity to serve and nurture a community rooted in Your grace. I pray for wisdom and discernment to make decisions that align with Your will. Direct our steps, Lord, and illuminate the path You have set before us.

Father, I ask for Your provision—supply every need, both physical and spiritual, as we prepare and plant this church. Help us to be stewards of Your resources, ensuring that everything we do is a reflection of Your love and generosity.

Lord, I lift up those who will walk this journey with us—the team, volunteers, and congregation. Fill us with empathy and understanding so that we can support one another through challenges and celebrate together in victories. May we be united in purpose, encouraging each other in love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

Plant deep within us the passion for the lost, the hurting, and those who seek truth. Let our hearts be open to their needs and let our hands be ready to serve, following the example of Jesus, who came to serve and not to be served (Mark 10:45).

As we sow seeds of faith, may they fall on fertile ground, producing a harvest of righteousness for Your kingdom (2 Corinthians 9:10). Let this church be a beacon of hope, a sanctuary of peace, and a fountain of joy, all to Your glory.

Thank You, Lord, for entrusting us with this mission. May Your grace be our foundation, Your love our motivation, and Your presence our constant companion.

In Jesus’ name, I pray with gratitude and hope,

Amen.
