Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, my heart heavy yet hopeful as I seek solace in Your divine embrace. Almighty God, I acknowledge that my journey through addiction has been long and arduous, laced with moments of deep despair and profound longing. But in this moment, I turn to You, for You are my refuge and my strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Lord, I confess the battles I face daily—the physical cravings that seem insurmountable, the emotional turmoil that leaves me feeling lost and unworthy. Yet, I know Your grace is sufficient for me, and Your power is made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). I humbly ask for the courage to surrender these burdens at Your feet.
Father, You are the restorer of broken hearts and the healer of wounded souls. Wrap me in Your loving arms, and let me feel Your profound, unconditional love. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Guide me, O Lord, through the valleys of darkness into the light of Your eternal love (Psalm 23:4).
Help me to remember that I am Your cherished child, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). In moments of doubt, remind me that through Your strength, I can transcend these trials. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
Let Your healing touch mend my brokenness. Quench my thirst for substances with Your living water, which springs forth into eternal life (John 4:14). Replace my hunger for fleeting relief with a deeper, everlasting hunger for Your righteousness.
Lord Jesus, bless me with the fortitude to walk this path of recovery, knowing that true transformation comes from Your powerful love. Surround me with a supportive community, with friends and family who uplift me and stand by me in prayer. Let my journey be a testament to Your redemptive power, spreading hope to others who struggle.
I thank You, Almighty God, for Your infinite mercy and compassion. Thank You for the moments of clarity, for the strength you’ve bestowed upon me even in my weakest hours. Thank You for never abandoning me, for always calling me home, and for the promise of a future infused with Your grace and love.
In Your holy name, I pray,
Amen.
