Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your divine presence and grace. In the quiet moments of my soul, when I’ve felt the weight of my own mistakes and shortcomings, I have struggled to forgive myself. Lord, grant me the grace to release this burden through Your unending love.
Your word tells us in Psalm 103:12 that as far as the east is from the west, so far have You removed our transgressions from us. And yet, Lord, I often find myself holding onto guilt and shame, unable to let go of the past. Help me to remember that You are a God of mercy and compassion, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Exodus 34:6).
Allow me to feel Your healing presence in both my heart and my mind. In times when my thoughts are clouded with self-doubt and regret, wash over me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), cherished by You despite my imperfections.
Lord, as I work to forgive myself, guide me through the emotional valleys and strengthen me in my physical trials. Let Your Holy Spirit be my constant companion, whispering words of encouragement and reminding me of Your infinite grace. Help me to see my flaws not as failures, but as opportunities to grow closer to You, to rely on Your strength rather than my own.
Your son Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31), and I ask for Your help in extending that same love and compassion to myself. Teach me to see myself through Your eyes, as a beloved child who is worthy of forgiveness and new beginnings.
Thank You, Lord, for Your endless love, a love that knows no bounds and chooses to see the best in me, even when I struggle to see it in myself. Thank You for Your grace, which is sufficient for me, and for Your power that’s made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
With a grateful heart, I offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, my Redeemer and Savior.
Amen.
